48 W Continuous-Wave Output From a High- Efficiency Single Emitter Laser Diode at 915 nm

چکیده

Improving the power and efficiency of 9xx-nm broad-area laser diodes has a great help in reducing cost systems expanding applications. This letter presents an optimized epitaxial structure with high conversion efficiency. Laser 230 $\mu \text{m}$ emitter width 5 mm cavity length deliver continuous-wave output up to 48.5 W at 48 A, 30 °C, highest reported for single lasers so far. The slope is as 1.23 W/A due low internal optical loss 0.31 cm−1 96%. maximum reaches 72.6% 15.3 67.3% operating under heatsink temperature 25 °C. Life test results show no failure 1000 hours 55 diodes.

Diode-pumped Continuous-wave Nd:LuVO4 Laser Emitting at 1086 nm in σ Polarization

A diode-pumped Nd:LuVO4 laser emitted at 1086 nm in σ polarization has been demonstrated.
